Case Studies from CareScribe

Claire is a public health practitioner living with ADHD. In this case study, she shares how executive dysfunction and poor working memory made it hard to take notes and stay engaged in fast-moving meetings at the same time. With Caption.Ed, she can record conversations and generate summaries afterwards, so she stays fully present without the fear of losing track of what's been said.

Assya is a mature student who returned to university and was recently diagnosed with ADHD and fibromyalgia. In this case study, she shares how procrastination and writer's block often left her staring at a blank page, overwhelmed by too many thoughts at once. With TalkType, she can speak her ideas out loud and watch them turn into text she can edit, so a difficult study session becomes a working paragraph instead of a stalled one.

"If I'm trying to formulate a point, I'll just speak the whole thing to TalkType and then copy it over to edit. Or I'll use it to quickly capture a thought before I lose it. Suddenly, I've got a couple of paragraphs I can work with."

Case Studies from Aspire

Hi, I’m Emily, a late diagnosed autistic and ADHD Psychology graduate and I would love to share my experiences of how Aspire has helped me!

With Aspire, I have noticed that I’m far more able to hold myself accountable to deadlines, even completing my first ever job as a self employed person.

I am more confident and steadfast in my well-being journey because I am able to document and process my thoughts and feelings so I can work through mental health challenges. I also understand my ways of working better; I now understand the motivators for my ADHD and how to be kind to myself when my motivation dips and my organisation suffers.

The most useful aspect of Aspire for me personally is the nature of the programme itself. Having the knowledge in the same space as the tools means I am no longer exhausted at the idea of managing my disabilities as I have everything I need to help me in just one helpful neurodiverse friendly app!

Making Thinking Visible this ADHD Awareness Month: Inspiration and ADHD

October is ADHD Awareness Month - an opportunity to increase understanding of ADHD, challenge misconceptions and highlight the support that can help people thrive in education, work and everyday life.

ADHD can affect people in very different ways. Organisation, time management, memory, getting started on tasks and managing large amounts of information can all present challenges. For some people, having the right tools can make a significant difference.

Inspiration is a visual thinking and writing tool that can help users get ideas out of their heads and organise them visually. Mind maps can make it easier to capture thoughts as they occur, move ideas around, break complex tasks into manageable sections and then develop those ideas into structured writing.

Our users' experiences show just how differently Inspiration can support people with ADHD.

James Moody describes Inspiration as essential to his ability to write, comparing it to “not being able to walk and being given a wheelchair.” For James, Inspiration provides the support he needs to organise his thoughts and develop written work.
