Head of Digital Content and Business Development Manager at Sight and Sound Technology

Stuart Lawler is Head of Digital Content and Business Development Manager (Ireland) at Sight and Sound Technology. He leads the company's operations in Ireland and oversees digital content strategy across the organisation's channels in both Ireland and the UK. He has worked in the assistive technology sector for more than 25 years.

Before joining Sight and Sound Technology, Stuart spent most of his career with the National Council for the Blind of Ireland (NCBI), now Vision Ireland, where he served as Head of Technology Innovation, leading the development and delivery of technology services and programmes for people with sight loss.

Stuart is Executive Director and Chair of the Irish National Braille and Alternative Formats Authority (INBAF) and serves as Public Relations Officer on the International Council on English Braille (ICEB). He regularly speaks at national and international conferences and works with industry leaders, educators and policy makers to advance accessibility, braille literacy and digital inclusion.

As Vision Impairment Advocate on the British Assistive Technology Association (BATA), Stuart brings both lived experience and professional expertise to help ensure that the voices of blind and partially sighted people are represented in discussions about the future of assistive technology.”
