James Wright is a Product Specialist for assistive technology, with many years of experience working across the Disabled Students' Allowance (DSA) and Access to Work (AtW) sectors. He has collaborated with a range of leading assistive technology companies throughout his career.
James has held roles with Everway (formerly Texthelp), Aventido, and now working at OpenGenius (AYOA), where he supports students, assessors, employers, and employees in identifying and implementing the right technology solutions.
As a neurodivergent individual with dyslexia and dyspraxia, James brings lived experience to his professional work. This personal background has shaped his commitment to advocating for neurodivergent and disabled learners and employees alike.
Alongside his professional work, James has previously volunteered with the British Dyslexia Association, supporting their Local Hub Project in Northern Ireland. He is dedicated to raising awareness of the positive impact that assistive technology can have across both education and the workplace, and believes in the importance of creating truly inclusive environments for all.
