Effective modelling of AT in the classroom and successful use in Exam Access Arrangements
We will be joined by guest speaker Laura Stephens for this session. Laura Stephens is the Academic Skills Subject Leader at Barton Peveril Sixth Form College, based in Eastleigh, which delivers A-Level and Level 3 vocational courses to over 5,000 full-time students. Having studied Film and Television Studies at Southampton Solent University, technology has been a key focus in helping to foster a culture of independence amongst the students she works with. In her role as Subject Leader, Laura has developed a bespoke programme of study for students, where individuals are empowered to use digital strategies to help reduce barriers to learning, now and in their futures. She has been part of expert panel discussions at previous BETT shows, delivered webinars for AT companies including Scanning Pens and Everway, and in September 2020 she won the Pearson Silver Award for Digital Innovator of the Year.
