Education SIG: The Transformative Power of AT for Autistic Learners

Online Webinar

Join us for an inspiring session exploring how Assistive Technology transforms the lives of autistic learners - both in and beyond the classroom.

Senior Speech and Language Therapist Elli Karantza from Ambitious About Autism, alongside a lecturer colleague, will share practical insights into introducing and using AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) in educational settings with concentration on Assistive Technologies. The session will elaborate on how AAC and AT improves not only learning outcomes, but also enhances social connections, and builds self-confidence.

We’ll also touch on implementation logistics and discuss types of technologies commonly used in educational settings for autistic learners. The presentation will be followed by Q&A and further discussion.
